An online, interactive lesson was tested to determine if the conceptual knowledge of liquids and intermolecular forces was increased by students enrolled in first-year college chemistry. The lesson was prepared using appropriate text, videos, and diagrams from the CoreChem portions of ChemPRIME and Models 360 which are resources available from the Chemical Education Digital Library (ChemEd DL) maintained by the American Chemical Society. Students were given a pre-test and post-test instrument to test the achievement gains of this ChemEd DL innovation. A discussion of the development of the lesson as well as results of the study will be presented.
