P316: Uncovering conceptual breakdowns by students using an online metacognitive approach

While online homework has been very good at providing opportunities to chemistry students to solve problems, it is difficult for instructors to uncover why students miss problems. Using an adaptive online learning program, instructors and students alike can now harness the power of metacognitive awareness to help student uncover where they are conceptually weak. This talk will explore how online learning is helping students learn smarter with important concepts in chemistry.
