West Africa Examination Council and National Examination Council, the two examination bodies in Nigeria, have consistently revealed students’ difficulty in the organic section of the chemistry syllabus. This study was designed to reduce such difficulty through carefully designed games and simulations. Areas covered include identification and classification of organic molecules, building and writing structures using locally sourced materials in the community. The results of the experiment with control over traditional methods showed significant improvements in students’ understanding and performance.
