P570: Phenomenography: A framework for understanding students' (and their instructors') experiences

This talk will focus on phenomenography as an empirical research framework designed to answer questions about differences in the way students (or  their instructors!) experience what seems on the surface to be the “same” phenomenon, whether it is the phenomenon of “studying for exams,”  “taking” a sophomore-level organic chemistry class, mastering a graduate-level course on natural products synthesis, or being asked to teach a biochemistry class for the first time.
