P582: Trends in the development of POGIL activities for the GOB course(s)

Michael Garoutte (Missouri Southern State University, USA), Ashley Mahoney (Bethel University, USA)

In 2007, the first set of commercially available POGIL activities was published. While targeted toward both one- and two-semester GOB sequences, many advanced topics often covered in a second-semester course were omitted from this book. Also, since 2007, the best practices for authoring written POGIL activities have evolved. The co-authors are developing a second edition of the workbook, which is considerably revised and expanded. This set of about 75 activities is currently undergoing a newly established review and endorsement process through The POGIL Project.
