P620: SRS effects on academic achievement in the chemistry classroom

Heather Young, Katie Amaral (Pennsylvania State University – Berks, USA)

Clickers have been showing up more frequently in the chemistry classroom. The goal is to assess how helpful this inquiry based student response system is to overall student achievement. Penn State Berks students will be divided into groups based on clicker usage and their GPA, times withdrew, and the number of attempts the student needed to pass the class with a C or better will be examined. Through this evaluation, we hope to show that student response systems have a positive effect on student learning.
