P782: Developing mechanistic understanding

In organic chemistry, one large learning goal is to write mechanisms describing how a reaction occurs.  I have used Think-alouds to examine how my students developed their understanding over the two semester organic chemistry sequence.  I’ll share my observations and my plans to better engage my students with mechanistic problem solving in the future.
