P814: Impact of e-homework on short- and long-term understanding and retention in organic chemistry

Organic chemistry lends itself to a cumulative learning process. Consistent drill-and-practice is required for conceptual understanding and mastery of basic skills; mandatory e-homework may facilitate learning. Performance on biweekly quizzes, hour exams and the cumulative final exam in the first-semester course over a four-year period will be examined in the context of e-homework attempted and successful completion of assignments.
