P858: Evaluating the content of auxiliary chemistry courses

Chemistry departments play an essential role in  the delivery of content to a number of programs outside the discipline. Consideration is given to the appropriate content of auxiliary chemistry and biochemistry courses servicing food science, nutrition and dietetics students.  Results of a survey of food science educators regarding necessary chemistry course content are compared to current offerings.  Suggestions for possible curricular revisions are discussed.
