The Chemistry Collaborations, Workshops and Communities of Scholars (cCWCS) program (www.ccwcs.org) offers a suite of resources in support of the dissemination of high-quality pedagogies and curriculum materials. The program continues to offer the series of workshops each summer that originated with the Center for Workshops in the Chemical Sciences (CWCS). However, the mission of the new cCWCS program has been broadened to include the development of communities of scholars and to engage faculty participants in a number of new ways. cCWCS has launched a multifaceted initiative to create online faculty learning communities that provide access to databases of curricular materials and facilitate the exchange of ideas and expertise. The architecture for these sites is available to other STEM education programs to develop new communities. In addition, the cCWCS program can assist in advertising STEM education programs to the chemistry community and by handling applications for these programs. Small grants programs provide support for additional dissemination activities and for participants to implement new curricula components into their own teaching.
