Would you like students to complete assigned readings and reading guide questions before they come to class? Would you like to cover more not less material while incorporating many more application exercises? Would you like students to both be accountable individually and also work in peer teams to work out problems and help each talk through the subject material? This session will place participants in teams in which they will see how Immediate Feedback Assessment Technique (IF-AT) forms can be used for readiness and comprehension assessment tests (RATs and CATs). We will discuss other facets of team-based learning course re-design employed in chemistry, as well as share some data on student success; 3-hour session.
