Explore the use of hands-on collaborative games in the classroom as a method of increasing student engagement and understanding. The following workshop will involve several different teaching strategies, demos, and activities. The main focus is to support and enhance the integration of the high school Chemistry, and General Science Programs of Studies. Come and try, share, and enjoy some alternative ways to view, learn and teach different subjects with adolescent brains in mind. All demos, simulations, and games will be linked to specific curriculum outcomes. Game cards will be available and accessible for teachers to make sets of their own game cards etc.; 3-hour session.
